The Scally Rally is quite simple. We must buy a car for £100. We can spend however much is needed to make it road legal and then we drive it to the Arctic circle.

The following maps show the route we will take. Click on each one for a larger image.

DAY 1

The journey starts in Den Haag, Amsterdam. The first leg will take us to Copenhagen via a few miles of scenic roads and some unrestricted autobahns in Germany.

After throwing our van around the roads of Holland and Germany, we head towards Denmark and across the Great Belt Bridge.

From there, we head into Copenhagen for what will probably be some well deserved rest.

DAY 2

After a good nights sleep, we set off in the general direction of Sweden.

With this being a short driving day, we'll see the sights of Gothenburg before heading towards Norway with Oslo being our destination for the night.

DAY 3

Day 3 gives us the chance to drive on some of Europes finest roads.

We set off early from Oslo, heading towards Noresund.

The views, simply spectacular. Lakes and mountain ranges will occupy our vision for a while as we head towards Brimnes.

A short ferry trip will take us to Eide. From here we will head towards Bergen via Oystese for a well earned sleep.

DAY 4

Day 4 brings with it another early start and pretty much a continuation of day 3. Wonderful views as we make our way through Norway towards Voss.

From Voss, we head towards Vinje and the Skjelingsvatn and Vikafjell passes.

From here, we drop down to sea level and take another ferry into the north.

We head towards Fortun for a drive on the Sognefjell pass towards Lom.

Here, Norways greatest road awaits and the organisers will make a decision about whether or not we travel it.

Depending on the route chosen, we will head towards Trondheim.

DAY 5

After a pleasant rest in Trondheim, we take on possibly the easiest drive of the event. Pretty much one road of outstanding coastal roads towards Steinkjer.

Once there, we aim for Mo I Rana and then up towards the Arctic circle where we cross the line by Saltdal.

A final drive through Nordland to Bordo and we celebrate in the cold because we've reached our final destination.
